Guest Experiences Team Member
Seasonal position- Fri-Sun March-May, then open daily after Memorial Day. The last day of the season is Sept 7th.
Are you a people person who loves working outdoors?
All staff will be trained/scheduled in all three areas – must be comfortable with direct contact with birds.
Carousel Operator Duties: To ensure a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience for the riders at the Endangered Species Carousel. Includes interacting with the public, keeping the Carousel clean, operating the carousel, following safety guidelines, completing daily safety checklist/count, and making sure riders follow the safety rules.
Lorikeet and Giraffe Feeding Attendant Duties: Responsible for facilitating zoo guest feeding opportunities at the Lorikeets and Giraffe Exhibit and educating them on basic knowledge of the animals. This includes customer service, cleaning, cash handling, and animal safety.
Pedal Boat Rental Attendant Duties: Responsible for keeping dock, boats, and area clean and organized. Assist visitors with boat rentals, excellent customer service, including help with lifejackets, review rules/waiver, safely help riders off and on boats, and following all safety guidelines.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pass background check
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Dependable and punctual
- Enjoy working outdoors in the sun
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work weekends/holidays
Pay Rate: $9.75 per hour (uniform shirt provided)
