Tingley Beach
Tingley Beach features four ponds: three fishing ponds and a Model Boat Pond. During the summer months, Tingley Beach also offers paddle boat and bicycle rentals which are run by the New Mexico BioPark Society. Proceeds raised directly benefit the ABQ BioPark. The large Train Station houses a cafe and gift shop and serves as a depot for the Rio Line Train, which makes a loop between the ABQ BioPark Zoo and Aquarium/Botanic Garden.
Pull out the fishing gear and have a go at the stocked fishing holes free of charge, sunrise until sunset, every day of the year. There are many activities to enjoy at Tingley Beach if you do not want to fish. Visitors also enjoy cruising their own remote controlled boats around the Model Boat Pond, feeding the friendly ducks and geese bird seed or cracked corn, picnicking on the rolling grassy fields, or stretching their legs on the paved sidewalk that wraps around the Ponds and exercising on the new Fitness Trail.
