Activities & Attractions

Pedal boats, model boats and bicycles are available to rent from Tingley Beach concessions seasonally, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pay inside at the Tingley Cafe, and take your receipt to the yellow tent by the dock outside.

Pedal Boat Rentals

4, two-seater pedal boats and 4 four-seaters are available for use on the Central Pond. 

 
Children ages 3 and up only. 
Seat weight limit is 200lbs.

If  there is a large group, or field trip, please call Shannon Ellefson at 764-6212 to arrange for waivers, and schedule a time.

Be prepared that there maybe a long waiting list on the weekends.

Open May 29th - August 15th DAILY

THEN: Open weekends ONLY August 16th -September 6th

Hours: Monday - Friday 10am -5pm
               Saturday & Sunday 10am - 6pm   
               Last boat out 1/2 hr before closing

              (Subject to weather conditions)

Cost: 2 Seat Boats — $8.00 per half hour; $12.00 per hour
4 Seat Boats — $10.00 per half hour; $14.00 per hour
 

Model Boats

Try your hand at controlling a model yacht in a special section of the Central Pond. Each of the six stations accepts tokens, available inside Tingley Beach Station.

Hours: To be announced

Where to rent: At the token machine inside the building, which takes cash or credit cards.

Cost: Each token costs 25 cents. A minimum of 2 tokens are required for one play, which is two minutes long.

Bicycles

Mountain bikes, in both adult and children's sizes, are available. A portion of the 16-mile long paved Paseo del Bosque bike trail is accessible from Tingley Beach and runs through the beautiful Rio Grande Valley State Park .

               Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5:30pm

Where: Pay rent inside at the Tingley Cafe, and take your receipt to the tent by the dock outside.

Cost: $8.00 per hour; $20.00 for 4 hours. $200 security deposit.
You will need to leave a credit card as collateral
