Personal timing chips will NOT work with the new timing system. With ChronoTrack timing, your official time begins at you cross the start mat & stops when you cross the finish. Don't forget your BIB on race day! Remember, No BIB means No Time! Read more about Chronotrack here5K Timed Event Wave Start!Due to its popularity, the 5K Timed Run utalizes a wave start improving your race experience with out affecting your chip time! There will be (3) waves of approximately 700 runners each. The waves will start at 5-minute intervals and organized according to predicted min/mile pace. It is expected that more runners will be able to run at their pace from the start! Wave 1: 8:50+ or better Wave 2: 8:51 - 10:35 Wave 3: 10:36+ Your runners bib will state which wave you have been placed in. Overall & Masters awards will be determined by gun time. Age group awards will be determined by chip time. AwardsMedals will be awarded to male and female overall winners in all age levels and masters (40+) runners. Winners will be awarded the highest level of award for their finish time. No “double dipping.” Lower level awards will go to the next fastest runner in that gender/age division. Medals will be awarded for first through third place male and female finishers in the following age divisions :

Park & RideDownload & Print the Parking Info Sheet → WHERE: ABQ BioPark Aquarium & Botanic Garden, 2601 Central NW WHEN: 6:00am - 2:00pm First pick-up: 6:00am Last pick-up: 2:00pm SHARP at 8th & Silver • Enter at the New York entrance off Central. • Busses will take participants to 8th & Silver; then it’s a short “warm-up” walk to the Start Line at 8th & Atlantic. • If using Park & Ride, please arrive at the Aquarium/Garden at least one hour before your event starts. • Parking space is limited. Lots will be closed when full. Parking ordinances will be enforced. • Return service from 8th & Silver to the Aquarium/Garden ends at 2:00pm sharp (no exceptions). • If you miss the 2:00pm 8th & Silver pick-up, take the Rio Line Train to the Aquarium/Garden. Purchase tickets from 1:45pm - 3:45pm at the Zoo’s Asia Train Station (behind Elephants). $2: Adults, $1: Youth (3-12) Cash only! Neighborhood NoticeHuning Castle, Barelas, Raynolds & West Park Residents. Run for the Zoo is "running" through your neighborhood. For the safety of our participants and volunteers, the course will be closed to non-emergency vehicular traffic starting at 6am.
