This is a USATF certified course. To be considered in the New Mexico USATF State Championship, runners must be USATF members. Split times, provided by Albuquerque Ham Radio Operators at mile markers.

SATURDAY, MAY 5TH is the ONLY day for EARLY PACKET PICK-UP at the CROWNE PLAZA ALBUQUERQUE. EVENT Day: Race Site ONLY! Cut off 30 min. before each event. Packets can be picked up on Race Day at Late Registration — Please allow 30-45 minutes before your event start time. Visiting Crowne Plaza Albuquerque to pick up your packet is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Timed Event Participants! You MUST have your Race Number (BIB) pinned to the FRONT of your shirt to participate. Run for the Zoo utilizes the ChronoTrack B-Tag Timing System. The disposable timing tag is located on the back of your BIB. With ChronoTrack timing, your official time begins as you cross the Start mat & stops when you cross the Finish line. To change events, go to the Trouble Shooting table during Packet Pick-up at the Crowne Plaza Albuquerque, Saturday, May 5 between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm or on Event Day to the Packet Pick-up/Registration area located in Tingley Field Parking Lot at LEAST 45 minutes before your scheduled event or the event you are changing to. COURSE MAP AID STATIONS Water & Portable Toilet stations are located on all courses. Portable toilets also available at the Start & Finish lines. Water is provided by Water To Go, potties are courtesy of AAA Pumping. Half Marathon – 6 Water & Pottie locations 10K – 4 Water & Pottie locations 5K – 3 Water – 4 Pottie locations 1 Mile – 1 Water & Pottie location The Info Booth is staffed with a registered nurse & two mobile nurses (provided by Presbyterian) on the course with the capability to handle any general first aid needs or other medical emergencies. Paramedics from the ABQ Fire Department are stationed at the Finish Line for dispatch as needed. Event Volunteers are wearing specially colored “Zoo Crew”. Please ask for help and report any incident. Police, volunteers, and paramedics can be reached by radio. Participants may store items at the Runner Gear Storage truck, provided by Hot Shot Services, located on Atlantic Ave. between the Start & Finish Lines. Bags are clearly marked with your BIB number, safely stored inside the truck and claimed after your event by showing your BIB. Medals are awarded to the top 3 runners, male and female in all age levels. Overall & Masters (40+) awards will be determined by gun time. Age group awards will be determined by chip time. No “double dipping.” Winners are given the highest level of award for their finish time. Lower level awards go to the next fastest runner in that gender/age division.
