A visit to the Albuquerque Zoo is worth repeating! In addition to enjoying your favorite Zoo animals at your own pace, you may want to take advantage of the special opportunities listed below.
Feeding Times
- Seal and Sea Lions: 10:30 am and 3:30 pm daily, weather permitting.
- Polar Bears: 2:30 pm daily, weather permitting.

Buy a cup of nectar for $1.50 between 9:30 am and 11:30 am or between 1 pm and 3 pm. Offer the nectar to the colorful Lorikeets as you stroll through their exhibit, and enjoy the unique sensation of having them eat the nectar from the cup in your hand, or just sit on your head! (Weather permitting) The Lorikeet exhibit is located in Australia, near Africa. All proceeds support the BioPark.
Ride the Camel
Ride the Camels for a Moment You'll Never Forget.
Cost: $3.50 per person
Weight limit: 175 lbs per person
Schedule (subject to weather conditions)
- From APS's spring break through Labor Day Weekend:
- Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm
- Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am to 5 pm
- Open on holidays and Monday holidays from 10 am to 5 pm, but closed the Tuesday after a Monday holiday.
- The weekend after Labor Day weekend through Halloween weekend: Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Closed November to spring break.

Giraffe Feeding

Buy a ticket for $1.50 per feeding at the table out front of the Giraffe huts, then walk in and get a branch to feed to our friendly Giraffes. The New Mexico BioPark Society runs this program; proceeds directly benefit the ABQ BioPark.
