Wagon Rides

Currently closed, opens again Summer 2009

At the Heritage Farm, catch a buckboard ride through the fertile fields. The wagon is pulled by Dick and Dan, massive Percheron draft horses. Rides are included in your admission. Hours: 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday through Saturday

Butterflies

Opens: Friday May 22, 2009

Each year, from late May through September, float through the PNM Butterfly Pavilion. It is aflutter with hundreds of free-flying North American butterflies enjoying thousands of nectar-filled plants.

Quilt

New Mexico Quilters will be at work on their latest projects at the Heritage Farm house the second-Wednesday of every month from 10 am until 2 pm. They are "sew" happy to answer questions and provide demonstrations..

Summer Music

Summer Nights Music Series feature concerts by local and regional talent in the beautiful setting of the Botanic Garden every Thursday evening June through mid-August. A magic show and caricature artist are on-hand for entertainment, and both the Aquarium and Garden are open during the show. The PNM Butterfly Pavilion and the Heritage Farm are open from 6 to 8 pm. There is general lawn seating - you can bring blankets or lawn chairs. Bring your own food, or purchase from on-site vendors. You can purchase wine or beer, but you may not bring your own.

Gates open: 6 pm
Concert: 7 - 9 pm

Ticket prices: $8 for adults; $4 for seniors; $2 for children. New Mexico BioPark Society member prices are half-off regular prices ($4 for adults; $2 for seniors 65 and older; $1 for children (children 2 and younger admitted free).

Purchase tickets: From any Botanic Garden cashier, in advance or on the night of the concert. No telephone orders taken.
