The New Mexico BioPark SocietyThe New Mexico BioPark Society's (NMBPS) purpose and function is to promote the development of the Albuquerque Biological Park (the BioPark), to further community interest in the BioPark, and to assist in raising funds for the continued development and capital improvements of the BioPark. NMBPS raises funds from donations received from private foundations, individuals, businesses, fundraising events, state lobbying efforts, grants and special fundraising campaigns. NMBPS also administers the membership program for the Albuquerque BioPark. The New Mexico BioPark Society is a 501c(3) non-profit organization; donations are tax-deductible in whole or in part. It is not a part of the City of Albuquerque, but a separate legal entity. The Society is a charitable organization governed by its Board of Directors, which is comprised of private citizens. Mission StatementThe New Mexico BioPark Society is dedicated to the development of, procurement for and capital improvement of the Albuquerque Biological Park (Rio Grande Zoo, Albuquerque Aquarium, Rio Grande Botanic Garden, Tingley Beach) and to providing a quality facility through the support of related conservation, education and recreation programs.
